Maintenance Foreman

Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Foreman - Underground at Blackhawk Mining, you will be responsible for supervising the maintenance and electrical functions for the assigned area of the mine. Your primary goal will be to maintain equipment in a ready and permissible condition, reducing downtime and increasing cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the mine electrical system in a safe and permissible condition.
• Direct electrical repair work to ensure safe and efficient completion.
• Supervise all maintenance activities for mobile and stationary equipment in the assigned area.
• Maintain communication equipment in operable condition.
• Perform regular permissible checks on all electrical equipment.
• Oversee the preventive maintenance program for the assigned area.
• Ensure all electrical and maintenance reports required by law or company policy are completed.
• Regularly inspect equipment to ensure operating condition and remove from service for repair when required.
• Order parts and supplies for repair work.
• Participate in the evaluation of equipment life for rebuilds or replacements.

Requirements:

• WV/MSHA Underground Low, Medium, and High Voltage Electrical certification required.
• WV Underground Miner certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of underground maintenance experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of underground supervisory experience required.
• WV Underground Mine Foreman certification (preferred).
• Emergency medical technician (preferred).
