Program Highlights:

  • The Cardiovascular-Thoracic Surgery program is nationally recognized, featuring state-of-the-art facilities and one of the most proficient surgical teams in the region.
  • Our physician-led team conducts over 1,700 Cardiovascular-Thoracic surgeries annually.
  • Surgeons in our program regularly undertake complex procedures, achieving outcomes that surpass national standards.
  • We are affiliated with a CMS 5-Star rated hospital and a STS 3-Star overall rated program.

Position Highlights:

  • Be part of an inpatient team consisting of 12 Advanced Practice Providers supporting a busy practice of six surgeons.
  • Enjoy a favorable rotating on-call schedule, typically 1:8 for weeknights and weekends.
  • No overnight in-house call obligations.
  • Advanced Practice Providers are scheduled for 8 shifts per 2-week pay period.
  • We prioritize work-life balance with a four shifts per week schedule.
  • The Advanced Practice Provider will deliver comprehensive health assessments, evaluations, planning, and quality patient care under the guidance of our physicians within the Cardiovascular-Thoracic Surgery Department.
  • Collaboration with surgeons during the intraoperative phase of the perioperative experience is essential.

Requirements:

  • PA-C or AGACNP certification.
  • Preferred candidates will have 2+ years of experience in Cardiovascular-Thoracic Surgery first assisting and Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting experience.
  • Current NCCPA Certification for PAs or ANCC certification for APRNs is required.
  • Must be eligible for licensure by the State of Florida.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
  • Documentation of case/procedure logs for credentialing is necessary.
