Clinical Technician 1

Clinical Technician 1s play a vital role in the delivery of direct patient care in the Surgical Trauma ICU at Inova Loudoun Hospital. This part-time night shift position requires a team player who can assist in the implementation of the plan of care to meet individualized and developmental patient care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- Provide basic activities of daily living nursing care, including bathing and feeding, and measurement of vital signs and intake/output.
- Demonstrate competency in all required clinical skills and technologies in accordance with Inova Health System policies and procedures.
- Complete assigned patient duties within the established time frame.
- Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development in providing care for the patient population assigned.
- Complete necessary documentation accurately and reinforce discharge teaching and home care skills.
- Communicate changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
- Partner with Registered Nurse to create a professional development plan to provide employee with the necessary skills to deliver up-to-date patient care.
- Experience: Healthcare experience preferred.
- Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
- Certification: BLS within 90 days of hire (from the American Heart Association).
- Training: Candidate must be able to attend a 6-week training orientation upon hire required.
