We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Technician 1 to join our team at Inova Loudoun Hospital. As a Clinical Technician 1, you will play a vital role in delivering direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Basic Patient Care: Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, feeding, and measuring vital signs and intake/output.
- Demonstrate Clinical Competency: Show proficiency in all required clinical skills and technologies in accordance with Inova policies and procedures.
- Complete Patient Duties: Complete assigned patient duties within the established time frame.
- Provide Developmental Care: Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development in providing care for the patient population assigned.
- Document Patient Care: Complete necessary documentation accurately each shift, reinforcing discharge teaching and home care skills.
- Communicate Patient Progress: Communicate patient progress toward desired outcomes to the Registered Nurse.
- Identify Learning Needs: Identify own learning needs/goals based on timely self-evaluation.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives, describing the unit's quality improvement activities, trends, and goals.
- Experience: Healthcare experience preferred.
- Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
- Certification: BLS within 90 days of hire (from the American Heart Association).
- Training: Candidate must be able to attend a 6 week training orientation upon hire.
