We are seeking candidates with a valid A&P Certificate to join our team.


Ideal candidates will possess a robust background and proven experience in conducting maintenance and repairs on various aircraft types, including general aviation piston singles, twins, turboprops, and light jets.

  • Conduct inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, repairs, and overhauls of aircraft components and systems, including hydraulic systems, landing gear, electrical systems, structures, sheet metal, flight controls, pneumatic systems, engines, and propellers.
  • Interpret and utilize manufacturer's maintenance manuals, illustrated parts manuals, wiring manuals, structures manuals, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and other advisory letters to assess the feasibility and methods for repairing or replacing malfunctioning components.
  • Evaluate engines and propeller systems for optimal performance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Capable of operating engines to identify sources of malfunctions.
  • Replace or repair worn or damaged components such as alternators, magnetos, propellers, ignition systems, and fuel systems.
  • Inspect parts for signs of wear, warping, or other defects.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.
  • Perform various duties to service aircraft, including oil changes, oil filter replacements, cleaning screens, lubricating moving parts, and checking brakes.
  • Account for all parts, materials, and documentation meticulously.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
  • Adhere to regulatory standards set by Byerly Aviation, FAA, TSA, and other governing bodies related to aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, production illustrations, and other specifications to identify, locate, and understand the relationship of aircraft parts.
  • Exhibit skill and dedication in aircraft maintenance while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Competitive compensation ranging from $25 to $40 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications for A&P Mechanic

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening in accordance with DOT FAA regulations.
  • Must clear an airport security background check as per DHS requirements.
  • Willingness to rotate weekend shifts for airline support as necessary.
  • Strong experience with piston aircraft is highly desired.
  • Valid A&P License is essential.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, along with three years of related experience and/or training.
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and hearing. Frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary. The ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds is occasionally required. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
