We are in search of a qualified and experienced Medical Director to guide our clinical team and manage the medical operations across our facilities.
Role Summary:

The Medical Director will oversee the medical care and clinical services provided to our residents. This position requires collaboration with healthcare professionals, management of clinical protocols, and adherence to healthcare regulations. The Medical Director will be instrumental in enhancing care quality, improving patient outcomes, and creating a supportive work environment for our clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide strategic medical leadership and guidance to the healthcare team, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
  • Patient Care: Supervise and engage in the direct care of residents, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Staff Development: Mentor and train clinical staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional advancement.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with administrative personnel, nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and improve patient care services.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Community Engagement: Represent KOPA within the community and establish relationships with external healthcare providers and organizations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid medical license to practice in the state of Volusia County.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Experience in long-term care or geriatric medicine is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Certifications: Board certification in a relevant medical specialty. Advanced certifications in healthcare management or administration are a plus.
