Job Responsibilities:

This role is Temp - Perm based on a 90-day employee evaluation.

Compensation: Base Pay ($) + Supplemental Pay ($7.05).

Note: A two-step screening process is required for this position:

Following the initial pre-employment screening, candidates will participate in a second interview with the account manager, which will lead to the onboarding process.

As a prominent security officer within a shelter, residential building, or educational institution, your primary responsibility will be to uphold the safety and satisfaction of the community by executing a variety of essential duties. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Warmly welcoming both incoming and outgoing residents.
  • Vigilantly monitoring the premises and its surroundings via CCTV.
  • Ensuring that all visitors and service providers comply with established access control protocols.
  • Securing the property and providing security assistance as needed.
  • Documenting incidents and generating necessary reports for both building management and Security USA.
  • Maintaining strict adherence to access control measures for guests and vendors.
  • Conducting regular patrols of shared community areas within the building.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid NY State Security Guard License.
  • One year of relevant experience in a shelter environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Valid NY Fire Certificate; F02.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior military or law enforcement experience is advantageous.
  • Exhibit a positive and customer-focused demeanor.
  • Basic proficiency in computer and smartphone operations is required.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to compose reports.
  • Physically capable of climbing stairs and conducting patrols.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to manage basic computer and smartphone tasks.
