Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing advanced-level surgical support to physicians and patients undergoing surgical procedures in all areas, including complex cases. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of surgical procedures and be able to anticipate the needs of the surgeon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons with instrumentation and provide patient care during surgical procedures
  • Independently prepare instrumentation and materials for use during and on the surgical field
  • Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment in a timely manner to anticipate the needs of the surgeon
  • Adhere to all policies and practices for safe identification and handling of specimens and medications
  • Provide indirect patient care activities such as patient transportation and assist with standard work and cleaning at completion of procedure
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited program recognized by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or formal structure surgical program
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Tech in Surgery Certification (TS-C) from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

Compensation

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Minimum to Midpoint Range (1.0 FTE): $106,454.40 to $120,744.00
