Your Daily Responsibilities...
As you empower individuals to make informed decisions regarding their finances, careers, and lives, you will cultivate client relationships that deepen over time.
As a seasonal, skilled Tax Consultant at H&R Block, you will assist clients with a variety of tax requirements, backed by a knowledgeable team dedicated to equipping you with the advanced tax training necessary for your success.
Preferred Qualifications...
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline
- CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
- Experience in handling complex tax returns (individual, trust, partnership)
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or taxation
- Experience in conducting virtual tax consultations
- Experience in tax planning and audit assistance
- Background in sales and/or marketing
- Conduct tax consultations with clients both in-person and through virtual platforms - video, phone, chat, email
- Prepare thorough and precise tax returns
- Drive business growth, enhance client retention, and promote additional products and services
- Provide clients with IRS support
- All certification levels can offer tax notice services
- Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation
- Guide and support fellow team members
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
- Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or taxation
- Experience in preparing individual tax returns
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using virtual tools - video, phone, and chat
- Effective communication skills in person, via phone, and in writing
- Must fulfill a 10-hour continuing education requirement and meet all IRS and applicable state mandates
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher
