Daily Responsibilities...
As you empower individuals to make informed and confident choices regarding their finances, careers, and personal lives, you will cultivate client relationships that strengthen over time.
Taking on the role of a seasonal, experienced Tax Specialist means you will assist clients with a variety of tax requirements, supported by a team of experts dedicated to equipping you with the advanced tax training necessary for your success.
Preferred Qualifications...
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline
- CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
- Experience in preparing complex tax returns (individual, trust, partnership)
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or taxation
- Experience in conducting virtual tax consultations
- Knowledge of tax planning and audit assistance
- Sales and/or marketing experience
- Conduct tax consultations with clients both in-person and through virtual platforms - video, phone, chat, email
- Prepare comprehensive and precise tax returns
- Drive business growth, enhance client retention, and propose additional products and services
- Assist clients with IRS inquiries
- All certification levels can provide tax notice services
- Circular 230 associates can offer audit representation
- Guide and support fellow team members
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
- Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or taxation
- Experience in preparing individual tax returns
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using virtual tools - video, phone, and chat
- Effective communication skills in person, over the phone, and in writing
- Must fulfill a 10-hour continuing education requirement and meet all IRS and applicable state standards
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher
