Restaurant Server Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Restaurant Server to join our team at DelMonte Hotel Group. As a Restaurant Server, you will play a key role in ensuring a great guest and colleague experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional guest service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations regarding food and drinks.
  • Take orders accurately and efficiently, and relay them to the kitchen and service bars.
  • Serve courses to guests in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
  • Properly record all sales transactions and secure accurate payment.
  • Familiarize yourself with current food and beverage offerings and be knowledgeable about menu items.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Restaurant and surrounding areas.
  • Report any deficiencies or issues to management.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Provide information to guests regarding hours and available services of the hotel.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables for dining as needed.
  • Greet guests, escort them to tables, and provide menus as needed.
  • Schedule dining reservations and handle special guest requests as needed.
  • Answer phones in accordance with proper telephone standards as needed.
Requirements:
  • 3 to 6 months related experience; High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
