Role Overview:
As a Behavior Technician, you will provide personalized, one-on-one therapy to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Your Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior acquisition and reduction strategies
- Conduct assessments to determine client preferences
- Collect and analyze data
- Maintain comprehensive client program documentation
- Develop and create educational materials
- Assist clients with basic care needs (e.g., toileting, eating)
- Communicate daily progress with parents and caregivers
- Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to execute individualized plans
- Uphold confidentiality and respect for all clients
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all clients
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training
Qualifications:
- Valid and active RBT credential number on the BACB website
- Prior experience working with children; experience with ASD is highly preferred
- Minimum age of 18 years
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Background check clearance required upon hiring
- Reliability and ability to maintain a consistent work schedule
- Access to reliable transportation
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent sitting and standing, kneeling, bending, and running with children
