Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized care to residents according to their individual care plans.
- Assist residents during meal times and support their mobility to and from dining areas.
- Help residents with meal preparation and eating assistance.
- Provide support with toileting and incontinence care.
- Conduct vital sign checks, including blood pressure and weight, as directed by supervisory staff.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as trash removal, dusting, and bed making, within resident apartments.
- Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge processes of residents, ensuring proper inventory of personal belongings and reporting any equipment issues.
- Encourage teamwork and foster a positive atmosphere for residents, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old or possess a valid work certificate.
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a training program for certification; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience in long-term care settings is advantageous.
- Familiarity with basic first aid procedures and resident care techniques.
- Must maintain good physical and mental health; appearance should be neat and professional.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
