Job Summary

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our Hospitality Team. In this role, you will provide top-notch service to members and visitors during the check-in process, greet guests upon arrival, and assist with various tasks to ensure a smooth facility experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Check-in Process: Welcome members and visitors, verify their membership or waiver status, and facilitate the check-in process efficiently.
  • Greeting and Direction: Greet guests warmly and direct them to the appropriate areas, including the waiver station, meeting spaces, and retail area.
  • Retail Area Oversight: Maintain the retail area, restock supplies as needed, and assist customers with purchases and product inquiries.
  • Point of Sale Operations: Operate the point of sale system accurately and efficiently, handling cash transactions and processing payments.
  • Facility Orientations and Belay Checks: Lead facility orientations, administer belay checks, and oversee climbing areas to ensure safety and compliance with policies.
  • Climbing Modalities and Safety: Explain climbing modalities (auto-belays, bouldering, top-roping, lead climbing) and proper technique, ensuring climbers use equipment safely and effectively.
  • Incident Reporting and Facility Maintenance: Complete incident reports as necessary, maintain high standards for new climbers' belay certification, and participate in daily and weekly cleaning and facility maintenance tasks.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in the fitness or recreation industry.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional communication and creative problem-solving skills to handle diverse personalities and situations.
  • Physical Demands: Frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, push, pull, climb, and reach.
