As a Purchasing Agent III at SNC Ltd, you will leverage your expertise to acquire materials, supplies, and services under the most advantageous conditions for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Qualify suppliers and oversee the quality and delivery of their products.
- Evaluate bids and negotiate pricing and terms for goods and services.
- Track purchases and maintain an up-to-date database of supplier information.
- Provide specialized knowledge on complex procurements involving substantial financial commitments.
- Independently manage multiple service contracts and assist in planning the purchasing process.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Proactive attitude with a focus on conflict resolution.
- Strong critical thinking skills to assess the impact of decisions on future business.
- Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and similar U.S. Government Acquisition regulations.
- Experience in pre-solicitation and solicitation processes.
- Competence in pre-award activities, including price analysis and market research.
- Experience managing the entire procurement lifecycle, including post-award processes.
- Audit experience in various compliance frameworks.
- Proven track record in total procurement management for projects valued at or below $125k without supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Typically, 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Higher education may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Experience with Cost Point Deltek and SAP Concur.
- Familiarity with Ivalua Procurement Software.
