Are you currently pursuing your studies and seeking valuable, practical experience in the field of accounting? At Armstrong, Backus & Co. LLP, we offer you the chance to gain significant insights as a Tax Intern.

Throughout your internship, you will engage in various team projects, collaborating closely with clients from a range of sectors. Your responsibilities will encompass the preparation of essential informational and tax filings, contributing to larger audit or accounting projects, and providing direct assistance in the creation of financial statements.

The primary aim of our Internship Program is to deliver practical training while allowing you time for personal development in your accounting expertise. We also offer tuition reimbursement for eligible candidates.

Our aspiration is that, upon completing your studies, you will transition into a full-time Tax / Audit Associate role and become a valued member of the Armstrong, Backus & Co. LLP family.

Requirements:

  • Completion of 90 credit hours, including Intermediate I
  • Pursuing a Master’s degree in accounting or a Bachelor’s degree with 150 credit hours and coursework necessary for CPA certification
  • Major in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Intent to pursue CPA certification and a career in public accounting
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Excel
  • Capable of functioning effectively within a team
  • Driven to thrive in a dynamic work environment
  • Client-oriented mindset
