We are seeking a skilled School Health Professional to join our team at Wicomico County Public Schools. As a key member of our health services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our students and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the health suite and ensure a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.
  • Assess student complaints of illness or injury and determine appropriate action to be taken.
  • Administer first aid and emergency care as needed.
  • Handle and administer prescribed medication to students in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Complete accurate and timely reports of student accidents and incidents.
  • Report suspected child abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements:

  • Licensed as an LPN or RN and eligible to practice in the State of Maryland.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English when deemed necessary.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Preferred: at least one year of LPN or RN experience.
  • Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of medical equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks as required.

Compensation:

LPN: $22.05/hour

RN: $29.50/hour
