About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate/Driver to join our team at Mutual Trading Co., Inc. in Phoenix, AZ. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of our products to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pick and assemble customer orders as indicated on the pick list
  • Complete door-to-door deliveries by driving company trucks on assigned routes
  • Maintain and safely navigate the Company vehicle
  • Document, record, and complete driver logs when making deliveries
  • Receive product deliveries and unload delivery trucks in a timely manner
  • Inspect received products for damage and volume accuracy and document accordingly
  • Accurately stock inventory in assigned warehouse locations and rotate product inventory to maintain a First-IN, First-OUT (FIFO) food storage system
  • Participate in warehouse upkeep and ensure the stockroom is clean and organized
  • Coordinate with managers and salespersons to assemble urgent deliveries to customers
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service
  • Attend semiannual inventory counts on designated days, possibly on weekends
  • Provide logistics support for Company events and functions outside of normal working hours
Requirements
  • Able to drive for a majority of the daily working hours
  • Able to work without sitting for extended periods, including standing and walking
  • Able to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Able to handle and move 50+ pounds assisted frequently
  • Conversational level English required; business level English preferred
  • Has and maintains a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Able to work weekends, holidays, and afterhours as needed
  • Maintains a positive attitude
  • Works efficiently independently and in a team
  • Adapts to frequent changes in assignments and workload
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year of general warehousing experience required
  • 2+ years of driving/delivery experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Possesses basic mathematical knowledge such as counting inventory, weight and measurement conversions, combining, etc.
  • Has strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates awareness of proper warehouse safety procedures
  • Forklift training and/or certification preferred
  • Knowledge of Japanese foods and liquors preferred
