Team Fishel, a leading utility construction company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team in Louisville, KY.

Job Summary:

The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for conducting safety operations training, developing and maintaining safety training programs, and enforcing safety policies across various job sites. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to identify and mitigate job hazards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct safety operations training and develop training programs to improve safety in telecommunications, natural gas distribution, and electrical distribution operations.
  • Enforce safety policies and identify job hazards at various job sites.
  • Oversee and coordinate safety supplies inventory.
  • Conduct routine job site safety visits and investigate reportable accidents and injuries.
  • Create and present monthly safety topics.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in safety or a related field.
  • Ability to perform audits and document findings of company procedures and practices.
  • Effective communication and computer literacy skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Related field experience in safety coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Current certifications in OSHA 500 and 510, and qualified to teach OSHA 10 standards.
  • Knowledge of industry safety practices, including NESC, DOT, PHMSA, and OSHA regulations.
