We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Hood Container Corporation's Jamestown plant. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our corrugating and converting machines.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines to ensure safe operation and optimal performance.
- Locate and troubleshoot sources of problems using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Remove and replace defective parts, and fabricate repair parts as needed.
- Lubricate equipment and identify opportunities to improve the lube program.
- Enter tasks and detail summaries of work performed into our work order management system.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Excellent troubleshooting and installation skills.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Possess basic math and computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of metal fabrication, welding, and plumbing.
- Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to team effort as needed.
