About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a Cardiac Stepdown Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to those recovering from cardiac surgery, valve repair, and other cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and perform various medical procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 60 days of employment start date
