We are seeking a highly skilled Airport Performance Support Analyst to join our team at American Airlines. As a key member of our Airport Performance Analysis and Support team, you will play a critical role in analyzing operational performance and customer service metrics, identifying evolving trends or chronic performance drivers, and supporting local leaders with actionable data and analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze operational performance and customer service metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven solutions.
- Apply data and analytics to maximize the effectiveness of training and compliance programs.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing or proposed network schedules to address or mitigate operational constraints while supporting the need to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Represent airport operations in planning and implementation of a wide range of corporate initiatives.
- Provide support for airports through identification and delivery of best practice opportunities.
- Coordinate initiatives across airports system wide to ensure efficiency and consistency where appropriate.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience/training.
- Proficiency with Tableau, Mosaic, SQL, and/or Cognos.
- Prior experience in airport operations, data analysis, and project management.
- An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced, ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
- Self-driven with an ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.
- Strong analytical aptitude and experience with data manipulation and analysis.
- Effective decision-making based on a combination of data-driven analysis and strategic considerations.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with an ability to reach all levels both verbally and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, collaboration, consensus-building, and cultural awareness.
- Results-driven behavior with the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and MS Query, etc.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Advanced degree.
- Experience with airline analytics or planning functions.
