About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Airport Performance Support Analyst to join our team at American Airlines. As a key member of our Airport Performance Analysis and Support team, you will play a critical role in analyzing operational performance and customer service metrics, identifying evolving trends or chronic performance drivers, and supporting local leaders with actionable data and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze operational performance and customer service metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Apply data and analytics to maximize the effectiveness of training and compliance programs.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing or proposed network schedules to address or mitigate operational constraints while supporting the need to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Represent airport operations in planning and implementation of a wide range of corporate initiatives.
  • Provide support for airports through identification and delivery of best practice opportunities.
  • Coordinate initiatives across airports system wide to ensure efficiency and consistency where appropriate.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience/training.
  • Proficiency with Tableau, Mosaic, SQL, and/or Cognos.
  • Prior experience in airport operations, data analysis, and project management.
  • An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced, ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
  • Self-driven with an ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.
  • Strong analytical aptitude and experience with data manipulation and analysis.
  • Effective decision-making based on a combination of data-driven analysis and strategic considerations.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with an ability to reach all levels both verbally and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, collaboration, consensus-building, and cultural awareness.
  • Results-driven behavior with the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and MS Query, etc.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree.
  • Experience with airline analytics or planning functions.
