Position Overview

SAIC is in search of an Electronics Technician I to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the functionality and reliability of various electronic systems.

The Electronics Technician is responsible for:

  • Diagnosing and resolving electronic equipment issues using technical expertise.
  • Restoring equipment to operational status efficiently.
  • Assessing the performance and dependability of both prototype and production units.
  • Suggesting modifications to circuit designs or installation processes to enhance assembly and maintenance.

This position requires the application of fundamental technical knowledge to execute routine tasks as per detailed Work Instructions and Technical Drawings. Responsibilities include integrating, assembling, and replacing components, wiring circuits, and conducting tests with standard instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.

Qualifications

Essential Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Formal training in electronics from a recognized Technical School, military electronics program, or a four-year electronics apprenticeship.
  • A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in electronics repair, maintenance, and testing.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
