Pharmacist - Retail

We are seeking a skilled Retail Pharmacist to join our team at Lakewood Health System. As a Retail Pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring excellent and high-quality experiences for patients as they fill orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies, and supervise support retail pharmacy personnel.

• Accurately dispense medication orders following Federal, DEA, and Minnesota Board of Pharmacy Rules and regulations.
• Maintain records required by law for controlled substances.
• Ensure safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies for patients by monitoring therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and appropriateness of drug and dose.
• Provide accurate, adequate, and timely drug information to professional staff, patients, and their families, and counsel patients on proper use of medication therapy management and immunization services as available if approved to under MN state law.
• Contribute to the quality and effective operation of the department by supervising and directing support personnel, including verifying daily activities of pharmacy technicians, and participating in performance evaluation of support personnel.

• Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Currently licensed by the State of Minnesota.
• Ability to calibrate precise instruments.
• Ideal candidate has interpersonal skills that equip them to interact and communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients.
• Problem solves, prioritizing effectively.
• Ability to multitask.
