About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance, Grounds & Safety Team Lead to join our team at Team Outsider. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our campgrounds, ensuring that all facilities and grounds are safe and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the activities of our Maintenance, Grounds & Safety Team Members.
- Perform basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs, painting, staining, power washing, maintenance to campground buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds as directed by the campground's General Manager.
- Implement daily, weekly and monthly maintenance, safety, and cleaning programs as instituted by the General Manager.
- Ensure that all guests and team members are provided with a safe environment at all times.
- Comply with all company, federal, state and local safety programs by adhering to established guidelines in the operation and storage of various equipment, tools, and chemicals.
Requirements:
- A passion for customer service and the outdoors.
- Experience as a team leader or supervisor.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing equipment and installation.
- Basic knowledge of chemical properties, proper handling, storage and usage.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Dependable transportation.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance frequently.
- Long periods of standing.
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch and climb.
- Must be able to operate various loud and vibrating maintenance tools and equipment.
- Requires the use of hands and fingers to feel and handle objects.
- Able to work indoors and outdoors and in various weather conditions.
- Capable of moving safely over uneven or wet terrain.
