Housekeeping Supervisor Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department at La Quinta Inn & Suites Pomona. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and guide a team of housekeeping staff to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and high-quality cleaning standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect guest rooms and ensure they meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Assist room attendants as needed and provide guidance on cleaning procedures.
  • Coordinate the distribution of cleaning assignments and ensure each staff member has a clear understanding of their tasks.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, linen closets, and control closets.
  • Report on the progress of out-of-order rooms to the Guest Services Manager daily.
  • Initiate work orders for repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching to housekeeping staff to improve their performance.
Requirements:
  • At least 2-3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
