Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our Chapel Hill office. As a key member of our team, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

Responsibilities
  • Establish criteria for industrial systems, including determining applicable codes, selecting controllers for various applications, and establishing hazardous area boundaries.
  • Develop system routing options; coordinate and implement the layout of industrial systems and equipment.
  • Monitor, interpret, and conduct tests of Programmable Logic Controllers/distributed control system.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study and five years of instrumentation and controls engineering experience.
  • Designing, programming, and implementing control systems, including Allen Bradley, Modicon, or Siemens PLCs.
  • Experience with industrial networks and communication protocols.
  • Experience with SCADA software including Wonderware packages (In-touch and Archestra System Platform), Factory Talk View, or Citect SCADA.
  • Experience with Industrial system design codes, standards, and developing engineering specification specific to instrumentation and controls.
  • Experience with engineering design programs, including AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
