We are seeking an experienced Senior Office Engineer to lead our construction management team in delivering large-scale projects. This role involves coordinating various aspects of project delivery, including planning, design, budget maintenance, scheduling, labor compliance, and close-out activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with at least 8 years of experience in similar or equivalent positions involved in commercial and/or public or educational facility construction projects with values exceeding $15M.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project delivery, ensuring timely completion and quality assurance.
  • Schedule and document project planning and engineering activities with stakeholders.
  • Evaluate architectural and engineering plans, provide contracting strategies, and coordinate award forms and documentation.
  • Review and respond to requests for clarification, change order proposals, and change directives.
  • Prepare cost estimates and negotiate fair and reasonable costs for change orders.
  • Monitor project applications for payment and ensure timely completion.
  • Perform site walks, verify field conditions, and develop progress reports.
  • Analyze contractor baseline schedules, including critical path and recovery schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with District standards, Division of State Architect guidelines, and building code requirements.
  • Maintain project files, logs, and records, including correspondence, invoices, progress statements, and change orders.
  • Coordinate progress meetings, prepare agendas, record meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.

Requirements:

  • 8 years of experience in project or construction management of commercial and/or public or educational facility construction projects.
  • Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management is required.
