Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified individual for the role of Senior Tax Manager, responsible for overseeing the organization's tax obligations. This includes both domestic and international tax planning, compliance, accounting, and operational tax challenges. The successful candidate will manage external consultants, lead team members, contribute individually, and work closely with the company's tax and management teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise the preparation of both domestic and international tax compliance submissions, coordinating with external tax firms and local tax professionals.
  2. Oversee operational tax compliance, including transfer pricing agreements, VAT submissions, and property tax matters.
  3. Support senior leadership in developing and executing tax strategies.
  4. Establish and nurture relationships with third-party consultants on a local and global scale.
  5. Manage the tax accounting process, including the annual review and preparation of tax provision documentation, account reconciliations, and technical accounting research.
  6. Act as the primary contact for independent reviewers regarding tax-related issues.
  7. Ensure adherence to tax-related internal controls and accounting policies to comply with local regulations and enhance operational efficiency.
  8. Promote awareness of tax risks and compliance through corporate education and evaluation of significant business activities.
  9. Stay informed on changes in tax GAAP, codes, and rulings that may impact the organization’s tax compliance and strategy.
  10. Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts for various domestic and international tax expenditures.
  11. Undertake additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. A BS/BA in accounting or finance is required; CPA designation is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 8 years of comprehensive tax experience, including corporate and international tax.
  3. A proactive and adaptable team player, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
  4. Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently.
  5. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with non-financial managers and personnel at all levels.
