Job Title: IT Advanced Project Manager

At the State of Minnesota, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Advanced Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading complex IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver IT projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and changes, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report project progress, identifying and addressing any deviations from the plan.
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices, such as PMBOK and Agile methodologies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Master's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with scrum masters, Agile methodologies, and Kanban.
  • Knowledge of database management, Access database modernization, and IT procurement.
  • Ability to facilitate group discussions, motivate and develop team members, and resolve interpersonal conflict.
