Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer - Weapon Systems

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Galaxy Technology Hires LLC. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing systems engineering support for the design, development, integration, test, and verification of highly complex electro-mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide systems engineering support for the design, development, integration, test, and verification of highly complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to generate component and subsystem specifications.
  • Define hardware and software interfaces between subsystems.
  • Develop, test, analyze, and document turret fire control algorithms.
  • Build linear and nonlinear dynamic models and simulations to evaluate system performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for development teams.
  • Support lab and field testing.
  • Generate technical documentation (plans, reports).
  • Occasional travel required.

Requirements:

  • BS with an emphasis in Control Systems and Signal Processing.
  • 5 to 10 years industry experience.
  • Classical and modern control systems design knowledge.
  • Signal processing and data analysis knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience working with the hardware and software aspects of electro-mechanical systems.
  • MATLAB/Simulink knowledge.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High level of motivation and willingness to learn.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to access US export-controlled information.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • MS with an emphasis in Control Systems and Signal Processing.
  • Turret fire control systems design, integration, and test experience.
  • MATLAB/Simulink expertise.
  • Strong mathematical background.
  • Active DoD Security Clearance.
