Position Summary:
The Facilities Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and cleanliness of our facility. This full-time, onsite position requires a proactive individual with mechanical aptitude and strong interpersonal skills. The technician will collaborate with supervisors and production teams to ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and meets sanitation standards in a food manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a tidy and organized facility environment.
- Ensure compliance with food-grade sanitation regulations.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Safely operate and manage facility machinery.
- Perform repairs related to drywall and painting.
- Handle basic plumbing and electrical tasks.
- Demonstrate accountability in completing tasks accurately and punctually.
- Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
- Follow good manufacturing practices and food safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record are essential.
- Familiarity with various hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow instructions from multiple sources.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Adaptability to changing priorities.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to obtain forklift and lift equipment certification through in-house training.
- Understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
Work Environment:
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to reach overhead and below shoulder level frequently.
- Comfortable climbing ladders and navigating various structures.
- Willingness to work up to 10 hours a day when necessary.
Compensation:
The salary for this position is $25.50 per hour. This role is classified as non-exempt.
