LPN-Infusion Nurse

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at American Oncology Management Company as an LPN-Infusion Nurse. As a key member of our team, you will assist physicians and RNs in providing top-notch patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mix and administer chemotherapeutic agents to patients under the supervision of registered professional nurses and adhere to ONS standards and guidelines.
  • Accurately dispose of biohazardous waste per OSHA and HRS guidelines.
  • Assist in obtaining lab samples and perform technical laboratory procedures with accuracy and precision.
  • Send outside labs to appropriate facilities as dictated by patient insurance plans.
  • Perform Port Access procedures appropriately and administer shots to patients after symptom assessment.
  • Document treatment rendered to patients in OncoEMR and prepare accurate superbills for services received.
  • Educate patients and families about medications, side effects, and treatment courses.
  • Interact with patients and families in a caring and professional manner.
  • Manage incoming calls and messages from patients, family members, hospitals, nursing facilities, pharmacies, and physician offices.

Requirements:

  • A state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse with experience in IV therapy is preferred.
  • CPR and BLS certification is required.
  • Fluency in the English language and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • A valid driver's license in the resident state is necessary for traveling to clinics.

Estimated Salary: $25-$40 per hour, depending on location and experience.
