Job Overview

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Department Director and Radiology Manager, in conjunction with radiologists, the Radiologic Imaging Specialist is responsible for executing technical diagnostic imaging procedures and associated tasks in accordance with departmental protocols for a diverse patient demographic, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.

This role also involves acting as a representative for customer service, engaging with patients, their families, the public, and medical personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in quality assurance and organizational enhancement initiatives.
  • Engage in on-call duties to fulfill departmental staffing requirements.
  • Travel to various locations as needed to conduct radiographic or fluoroscopic examinations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Completion of a radiologic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
  • Possession of a California Radiologic Technologist license upon hiring.
  • National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hiring.
  • Current National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hiring.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a radiologic technologist in a hospital setting.
