Job Title: Water Resources Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our team at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC). As a Water Resources Engineer, you will play a critical role in performing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, dam safety assessment, design, compliance, and rehabilitation, water resource utility infrastructure and stormwater facilities design, stream restoration design, and conduct floodplain and drainage studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, including H&H modeling and engineering calculations
  • Design and develop water resource utility infrastructure and stormwater facilities
  • Conduct stream restoration design and floodplain and drainage studies
  • Assess dam safety and develop compliance and rehabilitation plans
  • Interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials to ensure project success
Requirements:
  • B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience with water resources projects in one or more of the following areas: hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management and compliance, dam safety engineering
  • Demonstrated experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience producing engineering drawings and writing technical reports
  • Experience with Unsteady Flow and 2D Hydraulic Modeling preferred, but not required
