Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our team at the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living. This role is responsible for creating a positive and stimulating environment for our residents, promoting their quality of life and well-being.

The ideal candidate will have a background in a related field, such as recreation therapy or psychology, and excellent leadership and communication skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement programs that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement therapeutic activities and programs to optimize resident quality of life and promote their best ability to function.
  • Facilitate social interaction, reduce isolation and boredom, and reduce the frequency and severity of challenging behaviors associated with dementia.
  • Create a positive and caring environment that respects and values the unique personalities and cultural backgrounds of our residents.
  • Document records and notes as required.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in a related field; rec therapy, psychology, health care, geriatrics, Master's degree preferred.
  • Excellent group leadership skills, organizational and communication skills, required.
  • Creative, flexible, energetic, self-motivated, innovative thinker, ability to work alone and within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, religions, etc., required.
