Job Overview

At SMS group Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of new or upgraded equipment, ensuring seamless collaboration with customers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Collaborate with customers to design new or modify existing equipment, creating detailed drawings for production.
  • Project Oversight: Lead rebuild projects from arrival to shipment, working closely with customer and plant personnel to ensure timely completion.
  • Documentation and Communication: Submit drawings for customer approval, coordinate with purchasing and shop personnel to acquire necessary components, and support production during implementation.
  • Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries regarding supplied equipment, create written reports on customer issues or recommended equipment, and provide technical support as needed.
  • Travel and Collaboration: Spend time in our facilities and customer sites for inspections, installations, startups, rebuilds, and troubleshooting, conferring with engineering personnel and preparing design modifications as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering preferred.
  • Experience: 3-4 years of relevant experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and within a group, and thorough understanding of MS Office software.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to customers and vendor workshops.
