Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. As a key member of this team, you'll be responsible for designing, testing, and producing Satellite Communications hardware. Your expertise will be instrumental in solving development bottlenecks and optimizing production yields while maintaining the highest level of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in both Engineering and Operations environments, with a focus on production of Satellite Communications hardware.
  • Collaborate with a team of system, electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and production test engineers to ensure a successful product lifecycle.
  • Investigate and propose solutions to problems involving design and production of complex RF, baseband, and digital communications hardware and software.
  • Monitor, identify, and investigate issues affecting product performance and yield.
  • Mentor production technical resources and identify new tools and test cases to streamline test flow.
  • Prepare and present technical findings to peers and management.
  • Create debug guides for less experienced personnel.
  • Work with suppliers to solve complex problems affecting product yield and performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 7+ years of related experience.
  • Excellent understanding of digital circuit and digital communications design.
  • Experience with test scripts and test automation.
  • Outstanding bench troubleshooting skills (to component level).
  • Strong computer skills, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work with others from multiple disciplines.
What We Offer

Viasat offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a salary range of $160,000 to $278,100 annually, plus additional cash or stock incentives. We also provide a range of medical, financial, and other benefits focused on your holistic health and wellness.
