Job Title: Weld Out Inspector

Epic Piping is seeking a skilled Weld Out Inspector to join our Quality Control team. As a Weld Out Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our welds and products.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct visual inspections of welded products to ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.
  • Inspect weld jobs for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, etc.
  • Record results of tests and welding inspections.
  • Plan and conduct analysis, inspection, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
  • Review all welded products or components and provide input to the decision of whether to accept or reject the product.
  • Document data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provide recommended process improvements to management.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years related experience.
  • Certified Welding Inspector AWS-CWI/SCWI, SCWIP 3.1/3.2, ASNT VT Level II/III.
