Position Overview:
As an Import Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for the importation of goods on behalf of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the import process.
- Accurately classify goods for customs clearance using various resources including databases, standard operating procedures, and tariff guides.
- Perform data entry and manage the processing of import-related documentation for submission to US Customs, including limited interactions with Participating Government Agencies (PGAs).
- Maintain and update all shipment documentation to comply with record-keeping regulations.
- Adhere to international import regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide a high level of service to clients.
- Process agency brokerage shipments effectively.
- Follow all government and organizational policies diligently.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned, with paid training provided.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- No prior industry experience is necessary; however, data entry and keyboard proficiency are essential.
- Familiarity with MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner) is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a high volume of work and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and utilize multiple systems and reference materials.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits:
This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the starting salary for this role across various locations. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, market level, and other job-related factors. Eligible employees may receive additional pay, premiums, or bonuses.
