Job Title: Early Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Early Intervention Specialist to join our team at ProgressiveHealth. As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing injury prevention services onsite for a large manufacturing facility in Jackson, TN.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide proactive injury prevention, early symptom intervention, and first aid injury care as defined by OSHA standards.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide support by understanding site operations, job processes, and physical demands to make ergonomic recommendations.
  • Work one-on-one with manufacturing employees to assess risk of injury, perform posture coaching, self-care implementation, and overall wellness promotion.
  • Assist the Safety Department, Medical Staff, and Production team to assess risks and determine ergonomic solutions.
  • Ensure the work environment allows employees to maximize their comfort, safety, and productivity.
  • Work with the Safety and Health Department to implement and enforce standards.
  • Keep accurate, detailed documentation and provide feedback to employees and clients for continuous health improvements.
  • Understand and provide reports with key metrics to leadership, client partners, and operations management.
Requirements:
  • A background in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Occupational Ergonomics, Health & Wellness, Health Promotion, Human Performance, Human Factors, Safety & Environmental, Public Health, Sports Science, Physical Education, Fitness, Personal Training, or Athletics.
  • CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it prior to the start of employment.
  • The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift.
  • Previous ergonomic and/or occupational health experience is a plus.
  • A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication.
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision.
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
