Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently manage patient flow throughout the clinic.
  • Welcome patients and provide a professional greeting.
  • Handle incoming calls with professionalism, taking detailed electronic messages.
  • Schedule patient appointments using electronic systems.
  • Conduct insurance verifications through designated systems.
  • Prepare patients for their appointments by rooming them and assisting with medical histories.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
  • Check routine vital signs and perform point-of-care testing.
  • Assist healthcare providers during clinical procedures.
  • Coordinate screening tests and follow-up appointments.
  • Engage in proactive management of chronic diseases through patient communication.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or one year of relevant experience is necessary.

Certifications:
Current certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association or Red Cross is required.

Skills:
Proficiency in English is essential, and fluency in an additional language is preferred.

Experience:
Prior experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred, along with familiarity in administrative functions within a clinical environment.
