Seeking Compassionate Caregivers

Are you passionate about providing assistance to those in need? Senior Helpers of Ann Arbor, MI is on the lookout for dedicated, compassionate, and trustworthy caregivers to support our senior clients with their daily activities, errands, and companionship needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Engaging in meaningful conversation and companionship
  • Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding
  • Performing light housekeeping duties, including laundry and household management
  • Helping with clothing selection and preparation
  • Planning and preparing nutritious meals
  • Providing medication reminders
  • Offering mobility assistance, including standby support and transfers
  • Driving clients to appointments using either your own vehicle or theirs
  • Educating family members on safe caregiving techniques
  • Being comfortable around small pets

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to treat clients with respect and dignity
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Capability to read, write, and interpret care plans as well as document daily care notes
  • Access to email, internet, and a mobile phone on a daily basis
  • A valid driver's license with no serious violations, active auto insurance, and a vehicle are mandatory
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and driving record verification prior to employment
  • Experience with dementia patients and senior care is advantageous but not essential
  • Availability to be contacted via phone or email for scheduling and updates

Wage Structure:
3+ hour shifts - $15.50 per hour
2 hour shifts - $20 per hour
1 hour Peace of Mind visit - $30
