Partnerships in Community Living, Inc. (PCL) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Behavior Professional/Apprentice to join our Cognitive & Behavioral Health Services Team.
The Behavior Professional will work with individuals who have co-occurring Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and Mental Health diagnoses in Jackson & Josephine Counties. This role is focused on developing comprehensive behavioral support documents, adhering to Oregon Administrative Rules and principles of positive behavioral support.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with individuals and their families to create person-centered plans that promote well-being and independence.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to address challenging behaviors, focusing on positive reinforcement and skill-building techniques.
- Provide training and support to staff members on best practices in behavior management and positive behavioral supports.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Education, Social Work, or a related field, with a minimum of six courses in these disciplines.
- Possess a BCBA graduate-level certification/Master's Degree and one year of experience providing Positive Behavior Supports.
- Have a Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience providing Positive Behavior Supports.
- Demonstrate six years of experience providing Professional Behavioral Supports prior to January 1st, 2023. (Note: Professional Behavioral Services differ from Positive Behavior Supports and are defined as writing and training positive behavioral plans.)
If you are within months of meeting the above requirements, you may be eligible for our Apprentice program.
