Job Title: Hospice Care Registered Nurse

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assesses patient needs and develops individualized care plans.
  • Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients, including conducting pre-admission screenings and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided.
  • Participates in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and contributes to the development of policies and procedures.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Trains and evaluates home health aides, homemakers, and personal care workers in the patient's home.
  • Recommends the rental or purchase of medical equipment and/or supplies for patients.
  • Participates in on-call coverage system on a rotating basis.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in nursing required.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
  • BSN degree preferred, with enrollment in an accredited BSN program within two years and completion within five years of job entry date.

Compensation Package:

The salary range for this position is $75-$100 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
