The primary responsibility of the Medical Staff Services Supervisor is to oversee and coordinate all activities and personnel involved in the daily operations of medical staff services.

We are looking for an individual who will implement strategies that enhance the overall efficiency and financial performance of the medical staff function.

This position is well-suited for someone seeking a long-term career in operations and management within a reputable local organization.

Given that the facility may operate around the clock, employees in this role must be prepared to provide operational support at all hours.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise medical staff operations, ensuring quality of care, employee safety, operational efficiency, facility security, and fostering continuous improvement initiatives that create new opportunities within the department.

Act as a leader for our team and collaborate across various functions within the organization.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and strive to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
Promote continuous improvement across all operational areas.

Oversee daily and long-term activities to meet or exceed established quality and operational cost targets by managing team performance, equipment efficiency, and productivity.

Supervise personnel operating all systems and machinery across all shifts, ensuring adherence to best practices in all activities.

Manage the physical facilities and all associated maintenance in accordance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Coordinate all medical staff operations across shifts.

Assess and respond to changing circumstances regarding staffing or resource availability and develop appropriate action plans.

Foster professional development and growth opportunities for department staff.

Create a culture of empowerment to ensure that the department and its personnel understand the business goals and have the necessary resources and leadership support to achieve them.

Encourage an environment that promotes open and healthy communication.

Coordinate departmental activities to ensure prompt responses to changes in production schedules, resource performance, operational delays, technical issues, client needs, and quality concerns.

Collaborate with Engineering and Technical teams to enhance processes and materials.

QUALIFICATIONS:
~ Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
~ 2+ years of supervisory experience in medical staff services and operations.
~ Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
~ Demonstrated commitment to Continuous Improvement methodologies.
~ Experience in scheduling and optimizing processes for resource management.
~ Strong leadership capabilities.
~ Proven track record as a safety and quality assurance advocate.
~ Experience in resource management.
~ Excellent interpersonal skills (communication, coaching, setting expectations, providing feedback).
~ Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
~ Ability to work collaboratively and lead teams effectively.
~ High attention to detail.
~ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
~ Bilingual in Spanish is an advantage.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
~ Exposure to extreme temperatures and climate variations.
~ Potential for high heat and low temperatures.
~ Changes in temperature throughout shifts.
~ Interaction with rotating and oscillating equipment.
~ Exposure to operational hazards, particularly from machinery.
~ Frequent standing and walking on hard surfaces.
~ Climbing of ladders may be required.
