CNA Training and Employment Opportunity

Hawthorne House, a leading provider of skilled nursing care, skilled rehabilitation, memory-impaired living, and assisted living, is offering a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program.

Program Details
  • 40 hours per week, paid position at $19.00 per hour
  • 20 hours of class and clinical experience
  • Remaining hours spent as a Unit Aide

Upon successful completion of the class, you will be placed in a full-time CNA position at Hawthorne House, with the eligibility to receive a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a pay increase to $21.00 per hour.

Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Participate in a pre-admissions interview
  • Pass pre-employment background check
  • Successfully pass the CASAS assessment
  • Willing to work a 4-day work week while in training

As a CNA, you will have the responsibilities and duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with daily activities
  • Help residents with personal hygiene
  • Provide adjunct care for the patient
  • Check vital signs and record daily information in the resident's chart
  • Assist the nurses and other staff as needed
  • Adhere to professional standards
  • Follow policies and procedures and abide by federal, state, and local requirements
