We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse RN to join our Emergency Room team at Oviedo Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages, utilizing your expertise and critical thinking skills to make informed decisions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, prioritizing patient needs and ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously, providing general nursing care and prioritizing needs continually.
- Provide follow-up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Coordinate functions with physicians and other departments, maintaining a patient-focused and safety-aware approach at all times.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, multistate, or able to obtain licensure prior to start.
- Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma.
- 1+ years of experience as an RN in an acute care environment, with a strong foundation in emergency nursing.
- BLS certification must be obtained prior to employment start date.
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- TNCC required within 1 year.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
