Georgia Nut Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial food equipment and devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement new equipment and processes
  • Provide support to production, quality, and safety departments as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year technical degree or 5 years of experience in a maintenance field preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Will be working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards
  • Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
