Job Title: Network Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Specialist to join our team at International Leadership of Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our computer networks to ensure efficient and secure operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and plan network infrastructure to meet organizational requirements and scalability needs.
  • Select and implement appropriate network technologies and protocols to meet business objectives.
  • Create network diagrams, documentation, and proposals for network upgrades or expansions.
  • Install, configure, and deploy network hardware and software components.
  • Set up network connections and ensure proper integration with existing systems.
  • Test and troubleshoot network configurations to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Monitor network performance, traffic, and security incidents.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.
  • Conduct periodic audits and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities or areas for improvement.
  • Implement security measures to protect the network from unauthorized access, malware, and other cyber threats.

Requirements:

  • Associates in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • 1-3 years of experience in network administration or engineering roles.
  • Experience with network hardware and software from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, etc.

Working Conditions:

This role requires prolonged sitting, occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse, occasional reaching, and intermediate amount of walking are also required. Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds) may be necessary. May work prolonged or irregular hours, and local travel to campuses may be required.
